The Nomad is for people who want to get out and explore, with the camping made effortless. Wherever the day takes you, your bed travels on the roof, and the setup that usually eats your evening is already handled.
Quick setup is the whole point. Release the clamps and the stainless steel hydraulic rods pop the shell open in seconds, no poles, no fighting canvas in the dark.
Attach the ladder, climb up, and the bed's already made, a 7cm foam mattress that's comfortable enough to actually rest on after a long day out.
Two interior USB light strips keep the inside lit, running off your own USB power source, so there's no torch-hunting at the door.
The hard shell is an aluminium honeycomb panel, rigid enough to stay quiet and hold its shape on the motorway, and tough enough to take heat, wind and grit.
The 280g/m² Oxford canvas is waterproof to between 3000 and 5000mm and rated UV 50+, so it shrugs off a hard sun and a sudden downpour alike.
It's built to hold up season after season, not just look good on day one.
Closed, the Nomad sits at just 19cm thick, low and aerodynamic on the roof. It mounts to 4x4s and pickups on a heavy-duty roof rack or bed rack, so it stays rock-solid on the road and off it. Every vehicle's a little different, so our installation guide walks you through matching the right rack to your roof before you order.
The Nomad sleeps two and carries up to 300kg. If you want to spend less time making camp and more time actually out there, this is the one for you.
Pitching it: release the cover clamps and let the hydraulic rods raise the shell on their own.
The ladder hooks on at multiple points, both sides and the rear, so you can set your entry to match your pitch, your view or which way the wind's blowing.
Extend it to the ground, climb up, and the bed's already made, the mattress stays inside.
Packing down: fold the canvas in along the edges as you lower the shell, press it shut, and refasten the clamps.
A couple of minutes and you're road-ready.
Good to know: the ladder, your bedding and other kit can stay inside when it's closed, so it's set for next time.
It comes with external shoe bags too, to keep boots and sand out of the bed.
Keep the tent closed while driving.
Working out the right rack: the easiest way is to take the Nomad's specs to your local roof rack dealer.
Give them the tent's closed size (212 × 131 × 19 cm) and weight (75kg), plus your vehicle's make and year, and they'll tell you exactly which rack fits.
You can message us any time for help too, but a local dealer can guide you to the right rack for your vehicle from what they have in stock.
The thing that matters most is load rating, and there are two kinds.
Static load is what your rack holds when you're parked, the tent plus whoever's sleeping in it.
Dynamic load is what it can safely carry while you're driving, when braking, cornering and bumps add extra force.
The tent is 75kg, so your rack and roof need a dynamic rating that comfortably covers it.
Getting this right keeps you safe and protects your vehicle from damage, and any good roof rack company will spec it for your exact car.
If you already run a roof rack or know your way around fitting one, you're sorted, just check the dynamic rating covers the tent.
Fitting it is a one-time job, easier with two to four people.
Two people if you're strong, four people if you want to make it super easy:

Perfect for
It fits most mid-size and larger SUVs, 4x4s and pickups. The key isn't the vehicle, it's making sure your roof and roof rack are both rated for the dynamic load, which is worth checking with your manufacturer.

Specifications
It comes down to the rack, not the make of your car. You need a roof rack or bed rack with a dynamic load rating, the weight it can carry while you're driving, that comfortably covers the tent's 75kg.
That's most mid-size and larger SUVs, 4x4s and pickups. Once you're parked and open, racks hold far more, easily the tent plus two sleepers.
It will physically mount on smaller vehicles too, but at 212cm long it overhangs a short roof, which isn't the tidiest or most secure setup, so if you're not sure, send us your vehicle and we'll tell you straight. The Installation section has the full detail.
Under a minute to open. The hydraulic rods do the work once you release the cover. Packing down takes a couple of minutes.
Yes. The Oxford fabric is waterproofed to 3000 to 5000mm, and the closed hard shell sheds water on the road.
Yes. There's room in the shell for a duvet and pillows, so the bed's ready the moment you open it.
It's a clamp-and-tighten job with the included hardware, no vehicle modifications. The first fit is a two-person lift onto the roof, after that it stays mounted.
It arrives fully built and sealed in protective packaging, with no assembly needed. The tent itself is pre-assembled, so you're not building anything. All you fit is the mounting hardware that secures it to your roof rack or bed rack, plus the few small accessories.
Lift it out of the casing, a two-person job at 75kg, and we'd suggest unpacking outside next to your vehicle on a flat surface, ideally on the cardboard that ships with it, so the shell doesn't get dented or scratched on the way out. From there it goes straight onto your rack.
